Crane is growing and we are now a 24/7 operation in our Nashua, NH facility. Positions are now available on nights and weekends. The QA Technician position offers a great opportunity to work in a team environment that fosters interaction, learning and collaboration. We’re looking for a proactive person who seeks opportunities to provide high-quality data through hands-on execution of laboratory procedures with a continual focus on minimizing variability. Scope of work will be testing products to assure they meet specifications, as well as to provide lab assistance to scientists and engineers. Qualities such as internally motivated and results-oriented are integral in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively for the execution of routine and non-routine analysis.
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare and test samples.
  • Collate test samples, data, and record results. 
  • Document reporting with basic statistics including tables, graphs, photos and written reports.
  • Take the initiative and successfully complete complex tasks or projects.
  • Support manufacturing equipment requirements in both a proactive and reactive manner.
  • Provide support for qualification of equipment, new product and process development, and existing process maintenance.
  • Assure compliance with ISO standards and complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum two years in a quality focused technical role required.

  • Ability to perform required functions with a minimum of direct supervision.

  • Ability to read, write, keep neat and accurate records, and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Must be willing to work shift work, overtime, and weekends as required.

  • Previous experience working an overnight shift highly preferred.

  • Experience working with chemicals a must.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Ability to work with computer systems including Excel, Word, Outlook; JD Edwards a plus.
