Essential Functions:

  • Drive a culture of Process Excellence in a manufacturing environment.
  • Implement Visual Management systems to drive visibility and improvements to machine uptime, yield and quality.
  • Lean out end to end manufacturing and business processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and execute process improvement initiatives to define, measure and improve operating performance.
  • Lead an operating culture that promotes involvement, communication, expectations, accountability and a passion for excellence.
  • Provide leadership to team members in order to identify & eliminate waste, audit for compliance to standard-work, provide problem solving & solution implementation assistance.
  • Act as a “player-coach” type change agent by facilitating projects and multi-day structured events. Provide targeted Lean training and coaching to your team members.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or similar fields of engineering.
  • Experienced in process engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operations, manufacturing or technology environment (preferably in pharmaceuticals, Aerospace, High-Tech or similar industry).
  • High proficiency in key continuous improvement methodologies and associated Lean, Six Sigma and Project Management tools.
  • Strong leadership capability. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams, facilitate teams and multi-functional activities.
  • Hands-on with a track record of driving and leading projects and cultural change from the board room to the shop floor.
  • Experience with developing training, coaching and adoption of continuous improvement methods.
  • Ability to see the “Big Picture” AND demonstrate the necessary “Detail Orientation.”
  • Willing to travel as required by business needs.
