Ideal for an individual with extensive experience in the maintenance field, the Equipment Maintenance Engineer role provides an opportunity to help set and develop maintenance standards at our Nashua, NH facility. This hands-on role will allow you to take the lead in maximizing the availability of equipment and plant operations to meet company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively maintain and develop safety programs that relate to maintenance.
  • Conduct Heath, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Optimization, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of processes.  Experience in a high volume manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Use problem-solving, analytical trouble-shooting and facilitation skills to resolve maintenance issues. Improve process capability while maintaining and improving quality standards.
  • Use tools such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help make data-based decisions.
  • Perform effective diagnosis of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment to maximize availability.
  • Undertake root cause analysis and develop countermeasures and improvement actions.
  • Use Lean/Six Sigma techniques to improve maintenance systems and document breakdowns, identify root cause and remedial action to help identify and resolve recurring issues.
  • Lead the development of innovative solutions to unique problems.
  • Work in accordance with mandatory requirements of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance and engineering experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, process controllers, vision systems, and industrial electro-mechanical operations desired.
  • Training in Statistical Process Control
  • Experience using Lean/Six Sigma techniques to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance techniques, I.e. PM, PDM, CMMS, RCM, TPM
  • Experience leading and developing (multi-skilled) people.
  • Experience working on projects and processes to develop systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical problem solving ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
