We're looking for a Junior Training Coordinator to join our team in Dalton, MA. In this position, you will play a critical role with an exciting organization known for innovative currency and banknote technology. In this exciting new position, you will be responsible for ensuring employees can safely and effectively perform their position responsibilities by the end of the training period. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) Trainer, you will conduct and create training content using various modalities.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering, quality, continuous improvement and manufacturing departments to determine best methods on new operations and design training programs to effectively educate operators.
  • Develop and maintain schedules to provide training to employees.
  • Develop methods to track performance of training programs and the performance of individuals in the training program.
  • Act as the central point of contact between the supervisor, on the job trainer and the trainee.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement process as it relates to the department and training process.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Production experience in one or more areas at Crane Currency with minimum one year previous experience teaching, coaching or mentoring others or minimum three year previous experience teaching, coaching or mentoring others in a continuous manufacturing company.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to perform on-the-job training as well as develop standard training that results in consistent operator performance.
  • Ability to use a computer, take photographs and use video equipment.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Willingness to learn all computer software that is required to create training.  
  • Analytical skill and mechanical aptitude to understand complex operations and break them down to specific detailed training.
  • Ability to address large numbers of employees in a professional manner.
  • Engage and motivate operators in training.
  • Ability to coach new operators, identify and reinforce strengths. 

Desired:

  • Computer or technical classes at the high school or college level.
  • Process Excellence experience, Microsoft Office certification.
