    Do you want to be a key team player with the fastest growing currency supplier in the world? Crane Currency is looking to add a Manufacturing Application Developer to our IT Team based in Dalton, MA. This position is an entry-level technical resource which will have responsibility for maintaining business-critical manufacturing execution systems (MES) and interfaces to shop floor control systems and corporate business systems. This position provides application support to shop floor users and will be a key component in bringing the latest technologies to our manufacturing application portfolio. If you want to make an impact in the world, then we are looking forward to having you on the team. 



    • Develop technical solutions using a combination of commercial off the shelf applications along with applicable custom development.
    • Provide application support to all shop floor users in Dalton.
    • Participate in the development/maintenance of application portfolio road-maps through a practice of continued process improvements.
    • Participate in a global IT culture, which leverages IT resources based around the world, by supporting and assisting team members in accomplishing their business needs as well as yours.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Business or equivalent.


    • Strong fact finding, interviewing, problem solving and data analysis skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in a team environment.
    • Ability to implement Systems Governance policies and procedures.
    • Ability to be self-motivated and work to fast-paced deadlines and work independently.
    • Exhibit a positive attitude and initiative.
    • To always act and behave in a way compliant with all Company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environment Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct.

    Functional Knowledge:

    • Proven software development in languages such as C#, .NET, ASP.NET or Microsoft Visual Basic.
    • Understanding Relational database design and common database languages
    • Understanding basic concept of software development life cycle.


    The person selected for this position will need to demonstrate suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.
