    Do you want to be a key team player with the fastest growing currency supplier in the world? Crane Currency in Nashua, NH is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our Manufacturing team. Drawing upon your expertise, you will lead projects and lean initiatives to focus on yield maximization and cost reduction through the development and enhancement of production processes. By providing engineering support for specific manufacturing processes, this role will work closely with R&D, Operations, Quality, Process Excellence and other departments to develop Crane's next-generation technology.     Key Responsibilities include: 

    • Develop and document process operational standards, including identification and deployment of statistical process control opportunities.
    • Develop all aspects of product and processes to improve functionality and launch new products.
    • Improving product quality by reducing process variability.
    • Develop improvements to current manufacturing methods and processes.
    • Effectively communicate outside of department boundaries to influence success.
    • Accurately document and report to describe scope of work for sustaining and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Provide specifications and work instructions to make product.
    • Proficient with data analysis, statistics and applied mathematics.
    • Reduce product waste, improving the utilization of capital equipment, cost of quality and optimizing productivity.
    • Work with operations, engineering, QA, maintenance, suppliers and management to problem solve and anticipate evolutionary changes in customer requirements.
    • Providing equipment design and specification, including project justification documentation for cost and quality impact.

    Qualifications

    • BS in Engineering or Science; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in Process Engineering or a similar function in the printing (preferred), coating or web processing industry.
    • Demonstrated ability influencing and leading others without formal authority.
    • Involvement in increasingly demanding interdisciplinary project roles, including project leader.
    • Must be an analytical, subject matter expert with project management skills and proven success in managing self-directed projects.
    • Demonstrated experience leading or working on critical, high-visibility projects.
    • Proficient in verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes clearly too cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to learn and use graphics art software and effectively translate print quality from specs to design and production.
    • Experienced with Six-Sigma, Lean Concepts and 5S preferred.
    • Ability to travel about 15% of the time.
