    Responsibilities

    Leadership is Currency at Crane 

     

    Do you want to be a key team player with the fastest growing currency supplier in the world? Crane Currency is looking to add a Senior Network Engineer in our Alpharetta, GA location. This position is responsible for ensuring reliable and effective system infrastructure services through installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware and software.

     

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Design and deploy functional networks (e.g. LAN, WLAN, WAN).
    • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices.
    • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
    • Mentor team members on technical issues.
    • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery).
    • Monitor network performance and integrity.
    • Requests, Change orders, Break/Fix and Project tasks

    Qualifications

    Education/Training:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area.
    • Cisco Certification (e.g. CCNP, CCNA, CCDP) desired.

    Technical Skills:

    • 5-10+ years’ experience and solid background in network administration, Firewall administration, and architecture.
    • 10+ years of in-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF).
    • 5-10 years’ experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools).
    • 5-10 years’ experience and excellent technical knowledge on Cisco LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS, HP).
    • Familiarity with access control models and network security.
    • 2-3 years’ experience in Cisco NAC (Cisco Clean Access) and other network security applications, storage, and firewalls.
    • In-depth knowledge in deploying and configuring Cisco network technologies from the CLI.

    Interpersonal Skills:  

    • Provide mentorship to other Level I and Level II engineers.
    • Solid communication skills with Technical and non-technical employees.
    • Ability to drive large scale network projects with tight timeliness.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to interface across groups and functional units in a global enterprise environment.

     

    The person selected for this position will need to demonstrate suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.
