    Do you want to be a key team player with the fastest growing currency supplier in the world? Do you want to be a part of creating Crane’s next generation technology? If so, Crane Currency in Nashua, NH is looking for a Sr. Process Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing new products and processes and for making improvements to existing products and processes as well as helping to develop efficient, manufacturable products to meet customer needs.     Key Responsibilities include:

    • Conduct experimental work and analyze/interpret, report, and document the results.
    • Achieve established goals resulting in the development of new or refined formulations, chemical systems, application methods, processes, and products. 
    • Validate new quality and inspection systems.
    • Develop new features or improved performance of existing product with development in formulations, process or equipment.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize manufacturing process to improve volume, quality and yields.
    • Must have prior experience effectively managing projects and project teams through thoughtful facilitation and creative idea exchange in a fast-paced, results oriented environment. This includes managing project expenses, capital budgets and project tracking to plan to meet deadlines for deliverables.
    • Continuously improve existing processes.  
    • Maintain and closely guard trade secret information; investigate patent-ability and intellectual property value of new concepts.
    • Partner with other departments and key stakeholders to effectively support development projects and initiatives.

     

     


     

    Qualifications

    • BS Chemical Engineering or similar discipline in Engineering or Printing Technology degree required.
    • 8 years of experience in Research and Development working in manufacturing with web handling, coating, printing, lamination, slitting or similar development activities required.
    • 5 years of experience in Process Engineering preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience leading or working on critical, high-visibility projects with the ability to influence and lead others without formal authority.
    • Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and results clearly and succinctly, and interact with a variety of personalities both inside and outside the company.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in manufacturing, six sigma, lean certification and/or project management certification preferred.
    • Willingness to travel 20% (domestic and international).
