    Responsibilities

    Leadership is Currency at Crane 

     

    Do you want to be a key team player with the fastest growing currency supplier in the world? Crane Currency is looking to add a Network Engineer in our Dalton, MA location. This position will support the IT Network Infrastructure items across a global environment.  These functionalities must be standardized and maintained across the business in order to improve current services and allow flexibility for future services.

     

    Responsibilities Include: 

     

    • Deploy functional networks (e.g. LAN, WLAN, WAN)
    • Configure and install switches, routers, firewalls and other network devices
    • Oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
    • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
    • Respond to Help Desk tickets related to network devices
    • Serve as backup to other Network Engineers at other sites
    • Monitor network performance and integrity, storage arrays for capacity and RAID integrity and provide metrics regularly to leadership to give an overall view of the status of the environment

     

    Qualifications

    Education/Training

    • Associates degree in a Technical program with 5 years relevant experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, desired
    • CCNA or other Cisco Certification, desired
    • 3+ years' experience and solid background in network administration, Firewall administration, and architecture
    • 3+ years’ of in-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
    • 3+ years’ experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
    • 3+ years’ experience and excellent technical knowledge on Cisco LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS, HP)
    • 3+ years’ experience in Cisco NAC (Cisco Clean Access) and other network security applications, storage, and firewalls
    • Familiarity with access control models and network security
    • In-depth knowledge in deploying and configuring Cisco network technologies from the CLI
    • Solid communication skills with Technical and non-technical employees
    • Ability to drive large scale network projects with tight timeliness
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to interface across groups and functional units in a global enterprise environment

     

    The person selected for this position will need to demonstrate suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.
