    As Financial Analyst for Crane Currency located in Dalton, MA you will play a key role in securing our business financial viability. This individual prepares, analyzes and evaluates business information, including budgets, forecasts, pricing, planning and control. The analyst also interprets and summarizes data to report on current performance, track trends and determine future financial expectations. The Financial Anlayst should have a high level of integrity and a dedicated focus on work accuracy and financial leadership.


    Additional Responsibilities

    • Provide financial leadership to US Government Products (USGP) cost center owners
    • Prepare monthly budget versus actual reporting and develop understanding of variances both favorable and unfavorable
    • Serve as the primary financial lead for capital investment projects
    • Lead the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to improve financial accuracy and predictability
    • Review all cycle count data and work with operations to understand usage discrepancies and develop root cause corrective actions to ensure inventory transaction accuracy
    • Participate on internal audit teams in support of ISO certification efforts and/or Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
    • Establish good working relationships across the business from operations to corporate


    • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a Financial Analyst role or similar
    • Strong Microsoft Office software skills - Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to interpret data and summarize key takeaways that lend support to action plans
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Intellectual horsepower as evidenced by strategic vision and strong analytical skills
    • Ability to work across and establish relationships within all levels of the organization
    • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
    • Knowledge of accounting and business software, including J.D. Edwards, Business Objects, Adaptive Insights and Hyperion Software preferred
    • Government contract accounting experience is helpful


    The person selected for this position will need to demonstrate suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.
