    As the Business Manager of Brand Protection, you can take your career to the next level with us. This challenging role will be key in developing and leading the Brand Protection organization including building a team of sales and engineering professionals responsible for managing all aspects of the Crane Brand product line life cycle.

    Overview:

    This position will be responsible for leading and managing a new Brand Protection organization to significantly penetrate the brand protection market. Responsibilities include understanding the competitive landscape & industry and current business profitability, identifying target segments, barriers & gaps, assess micro-optic technology opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, and recommend go-forward strategy & investments.  By being the architect in developing the team and an overall product strategy for the next 3-5 years, this position will ensure production readiness and accountability for Brand product line revenue and profitability, as well as all technical aspects from initial customer inquiry through production and final delivery.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

     

     

    Build and lead a team of sales and technical individuals to develop overall product strategy for the next 3-5 years

    • Make a competitive landscape & profitability assessment
    • Identify target segments, as well as barriers & gaps to the target segments
    • Assess micro-optics opportunity, partnerships, acquisitions to achieve target segment success
    • Develop product strategies to meet business objectives and create a 3-5 year roadmap, leveraging voice of customer (VOC) input, gap analysis, product and capability roadmaps
    • Develop positioning & value proposition in conjunction with marketing
    • Recommend overall go-forward strategy & investments

     

    Ensure Overall Production Readiness

    • Define New Product Specifications and launch Criteria
    • Define product life-cycle manufacturability capability gaps and future program needs 3-years out
    • Escalating authority in questionable product specification cases

    Ownership from Technical Request through Production for bids, tenders, and orders

    • Champion technical specifications and approve production capability
    • Provide customers, partners, and suppliers with pre and post-sales support, and on-site at the customer when necessary
    • Owns resolution to customer created Corrective And Preventative Actions (CAPA) to eliminate causes of non-conformities or other undesirable situations
    • Product Line Revenue and Profitability Owner
    • Analyze product costing Sign-off with Finance support and understand levers to profitability
    • Identify, prioritize, and championing continuous improvement and cost reduction effortsDeveloping pricing strategies and optimize order-specific product costing & pricing

    Employee and Organizational Development

    • Recruit and develop organization to achieve commercial objectives listed above
    • Foster an environment that encourages continuous personal growth and development

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • MBA or equivalent education and experience required
    • Minimum of 10 years industry experience in a technical role with at least 5 years success in a product management or strategy capacity
    • Experience in a technology and manufacturing industry
    • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
    • Proven experience of consist collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups including manufacturing operations, sales, quality, R&D, and both internal/external customers
    • Comfort in highly visible position with expectations to achieve significant growth and positive results
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
    • Strong analytical ability coupled with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skills
    • Proven project management and communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to partner with external customers and develop successful, long-term relationships
