    Crane Currency is a stand-alone business within the Payment & Merchandising Technologies segment of Crane Co. It is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts with operations in Dalton, Massachusetts; Nashua, New Hampshire; Alpharetta, Georgia; Tumba, Sweden and Hal Far, Malta.

    Responsibilities

    Leadership is Currency at Crane

    Reporting to the Operations Leader, the Production Shift Supervisor will have  direct responsibility for crews on rotating shifts to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth.  They will work with area management to engage manufacturing employees in the Crane Business System; provide visible support, foster open communications, and coach and develop manufacturing employees in a safety conscious environment.

     

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Accountable for the safe operation of the manufacturing areas under their direction. This includes auditing the processes to ensure safe work practices are adhered to along with required PPE.
    • Monitoring the quality of production produced during their shifts. This will include auditing of the process to insure Standard Work procedures are being followed by all associates.
    • Scheduling and adjusting department associates for current and incoming shifts to meet production needs.
    • Accurate counts and usage rates of raw materials or incoming product to be consumed by area of responsibility.
    • Leader in implementing CBS Tools in Department. Individual will be expected to be an active participant in all relevant CBS activities.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Five years of manufacturing experience with steadily increasing responsibility
    • One year of experience working in a continuous manufacturing environment
    • Must be able to work rotating shifts, extended hours and weekends, as dictated by the manufacturing schedule

    Preferred:

    • Proficient or demonstrated ability to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Working knowledge of Plant Applications, Active Factory, JDE., desirable.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn and convey complex technical processes
    • Demonstrated ability to coach and maximize employee performance
    • Demonstrated analytical problem solving and troubleshooting ability
    • Working knowledge and experience with an efficient and robust Quality Management System
