As Commercial Director, you can take your career to the next level with us. This challenging role will be key in developing sales strategy and planning in one of Crane's crucial regional markets, as well as developing critical relationships with key clients. In this role you will help Crane fulfill long and short term goals according to the strategic business plan and budget goals for Region Africa and Middle East by leading a team of Regional Sales Directors.


We are seeking a proven sales leader who is familiar with the currency industry and the specifics of the business in a reasonable time-frame. The right candidate should be comfortable implementing strategies for the Sales department that enables Crane Currency to maximize performance and result in accordance with commercial goals, production goals and profitability goals.


Preferable, the Commercial Director, Africa & ME should be based in Dubai.


  • Manage and lead the sales activities for short and long terms prospects through negotiation and closing of business.
  • Make long-term strategic and short-term tactic plan for the region and mentor the RSD to plan for each targeted prospect/customer.
  • Provide information to Salesforce and Sales Forecast
  • Participate in and actively contribute to Sales Meetings and industry events and conferences (Banknote Conference, Currency Conference, regional conferences).
  • Initiate and contribute to marketing events needed to drive sales in the region.
  • Analyze, plan, and solve problems from a strategic perspective and contribute to an effective decision making for Sales department and for Crane Currency. To draw up goals and evaluate performance to ensure alignment with responsibilities and goals.
  • Ensure an effective organization structure, optimally staffed with a trained and motivated workforce for the region.
  • Drive the business according to Crane Currency´s policies.


  • B.S. or B.A. degree in business and/or technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience from the banknote industry
  • Experience in sales on the banknote market.
  • Deep knowledge of technology and manufacturing of banknote production.
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are desired.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
