Overview

Crane Currency in Nashua NH has an opening for an IT Business Analyst at the Senior Level.

 

This position provides IT support and leadership at the Nashua production facility. As part of the operations team, the ideal candidate will understand and address the needs of that team in terms of manufacturing systems. Do you possess technical expertise & have an analytical mindset with a strong willingness to assist all areas of production, as well as analyzing external customer production data, regarding continuous improvement efforts? You could be adding value to the organization by leading projects and partnering with local functional leaders to maintain and enhance the flow of quality, process, and production data by maximizing the potential of our MES system. The position uses a robust knowledge of the systems and processes to serve as a strategic interface between operations and the IT group, ensuring effective linkage and system performance. Working independently with minimal direction, you must be able to prioritize the ever-changing importance of each accountability and be able to balance the time allocated to each task requiring the need to multiple tasks and handle frequent interruptions. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and efficient work practices are critical to the success. As technology evolves and changes, it would be expected that you stay abreast to those changes. 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional team to ensure a highly available MES environment to support 24x7x365 manufacturing.
  • Design solutions to address business needs.   By working close with business stakeholders and other IT professionals, this resource will deliver IT application solutions that will advance and improve the MES platform and solve the challenges that the operations team is facing. Evaluate the current state and develop future factory vision for MES to further leverage the system for improved reporting, accountability, quality and enhanced decision-making.
  • Be the primary point of contact for business stakeholders for Application support. Establish local governance council for Applications to help establish and prioritize business needs. Also train users on functions related to MES to facilitate system use and increase user base.
  • Participate in the development/maintenance of Global application portfolio roadmaps to keep key software components and manufacturing applications in current releases. Work with colleagues from other locations to maintain consistency in MES implementations.

 

Qualifications

 

Knowledge (Education/Training) or equivalent:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a Technical field
  • A minimum of five years experience with quality and/or manufacturing execution systems.
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Proven experience in GE Proficy, SQL, SSRS, and Visual Basic Applications preferred

Technical and other Experience, Skills and Characteristics (e.g. statistical analysis, project management, initiative):

  • Demonstrated strength in being able to maintain effective work relationships to influence others without formal authority
  • Demonstrated successes in managing self – directed projects
  • Involvement in increasingly demanding interdisciplinary project roles, to include role of project leader
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills required. (Examples: Clear objectives; trial planning; sound analysis, conclusions and direction, etc.)
  • Proven high level of initiative with talent for anticipating and acting on next steps, at project, process, and organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively and tactfully at all organizational levels and across all disciplines
  • Ability to become involved with customers and represent the Company with professionalism and confidence
  • Knowledge of operation’s computer systems and software to include the Microsoft Office Suite and Minitab Statistical Software
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basics, Proficy Database, Proficy Clients, Proficy Excel Add-in, and Proficy Administrator

  • Strong multitasking skills with a focus on detail orientation and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience successfully engaging in a team environment
  • Strong fact finding, interviewing, problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Ability to consistently behave in a way compliant with all Company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environment Health and Safety, ethics, confidentiality and code of conduct

License or other requirements:

  • Sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements
  • A signed Company Non-Disclosure Agreement on file in the Human Resources Department is required
  • Driver’s license and capability to travel locally to attend Company meetings, vendor presentations, technical seminars or any other event off-site or at other locations
