The Systems Administrator position will support the IT needs of the production environments across a global environment and it may be based in Nashua, NH or Dalton, MA. 

Responsibilities

  • Supports IT and production infrastructure(network, clients and servers) for the organization to be in line with company guidelines, compliance, IT policies, and SOP.
  • Collaborates with production engineers, department personnel, and third-party suppliers to ensure business continuity within organization as well as with company guidelines, compliance, IT policies, and SOP.
  • Maintains and supports technical infrastructure, hardware and system software components 
  • Installs, configures, and tests operating systems- Windows and Linux
  • Assists with Network devices (Switches, Firewalls).
  • Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Ensures backups and recovery processes are followed and maintained.
  • Evaluates existing systems and provides the technical direction to Operational owners.
  • Maintains and communicates status of systems to IT and production teams.
  • Role is responsible for multiple sites.
  • Strives for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Technical and other Experience, Skills and Characteristics (e.g. statistical analysis, project management, initiative):

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing Windows Servers
  • 2 - 3 years minimum support of client software
  • 3 - 4 years’ experience with major brand of Backup software and DR

Knowledge (Education/Training) or equivalent:

Desired:

  • MCP, MCSA, MCSE or other Microsoft Certification
  • Other relevant certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

 

Interpersonal / Leadership Skills / Experience (e.g. cross-functional collaborative ability, leadership experience):

Required:

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little direction or guidance.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with clients with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solutions provided by Data driven analysis.

 

License or other requirements:

Required:

For all positions: Ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.

For all positions: A signed Company Non-Disclosure Agreement on file in the Human Resources Department is required.

       Driver’s license and means to travel to division/company locations

 

Physical: (list frequency of occurrence and effort required)

            Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

            Must be able to rack and stack servers periodically

 

Mental/Emotional:

            Flexibility in scheduling due to repairs on break\fix issues.

            Flexibility in projects. Timelines will constantly shift based on business planning or other drivers.
