CRANE Currency has a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Product Specialist

Responsibilities

Some Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversight & visibility to the entire value stream from demand forecast all the way through post-delivery support
  • Creation, maintenance, communication & coordination of manufacturing schedules
  • Procurment of materials
  • Manage all aspects of supplier relationships to include negotiations on pricing, terms, and delivery
  • Planning the purchase and flow of materials for our internal and external supply chain
  • Ensure that the flow of all materials are managed properly to meet all defined goals and objectives
  • Entry and maintenance of work orders
  • Support global Crane Supply Chain initiatives as required.
  • Assist CI and IT groups with process and system improvement as needed.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree with 5+ year’s planning/procurement experience within manufacturing
  • Experience planning, purchasing, scheduling, & MRP/ERP systems 
  • Strong understanding of all Supply Chain principles
  • Experience with subcontractor negotiations & management, expediting, & quality/continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of software related to administrative & manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to and learn new systems
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving & decision making skills
  • Strong demonstrated analytical skills, process orientation, and project management skills
  • Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and train others
  • Must be a team player with experience in a dynamic, fast moving organization

Applicants must be United States citizens. The person selected for this position will need to demonstrate suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Professional certification(s) demonstrating knowledge and continuing education in supply chain fundamentals is preferred.  JD Edwards experience and proficiency.
